Barbara S. O'Connell spent the bulk of her career as a Research Principal and Executive Recruiter for Spencer Stuart & Associates in Stamford, CT and Los Angeles, and Venture Resources in Los Angeles and San Jose, CA. Additional work history includes sales administration for Procter & Gamble, K&L Beverages, and American Hospital Supply. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Cardigan Mountain School in Canaan, NH and is co-Chair of the Marketing and Admissions Committee and is a member of the Development Committee. Previous Board assignments have been with Cincinnati Country Day School, serving on the Compensation and Development Committees, The Thompson Senior Center in Woodstock, VT where she chaired the Compensation Committee and Planned Giving Committee, and she played a primary role in helping to successfully raise funds to build the Union Arena in Woodstock, VT. She attended UCLA and has a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is married to Frank, and they have two daughters, two sons and three grandchildren. She splits her time between their home in Boston and Woodstock, VT.
