David Collins graduated from Notre Dame in 1956 and from Harvard Law School in 1959. His career at Johnson & Johnson from 1962 to 1988 culminated with his position as an Officer, Director and member of Executive Management Committee. He also served as an officer and member of Executive Operating Committee of the Schering-Plough Corporation from 1989 to 1994. His non-profit volunteer activities include University of Notre Dame (advisory Board and teaching), Fairleigh Dickenson University (Board of Trustees), Vermont Law School (teaching), and the Tuck Graduate School of Business at Dartmouth (teaching). He is married to Judith Thompson and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
